including Paradise Valley
From Queenstown, we drive around 45 minutes up to the head of Lake Wakatipu - Glenorchy. This is where the two main rivers, Dart and Rees, flow into the lake. The area is well known for amazing landscapes which feature lakes, rivers, mountains, farmland, and forest. The Queenstown to Glenorchy road won't disappoint and is a classic New Zealand scenic drive. In Glenorchy, we visit a famous boat shed and wharf and then travel to the Paradise Valley. The Paradise Valley is flanked by magnificent mountains and Beech tree forests. After spending some time in Paradise Valley, we then turn back and head for Queenstown.

Glenorchy-Paradise Valley Tour
"We booked the Glenorchy-Paradise Valley tour. The forecast did not look great for the day we booked so Dan kindly offered to reschedule it. The views and landscape were stunning. Dan is very knowledgeable of the area, and taught us a lot on photo shooting. We had a great time and came back with lots of beautiful pictures! Definitely the highlight of our Queenstown trip."

A fun thing to do, spectacular scenery
"I'm not a photographer, I just happen to own a camera and take photos, but on our second-last day in Queenstown, we came across this tour, booked it at 8 pm online and were picked up at our hotel the next morning. The drive to Glenorchy and Paradise is spectacular for scenery, and doing it this way meant we got taken to the most scenic/best photography places by someone who knew the area. There can be up to 4 people on a tour but there was just the two of us and I picked up a few good tips on things, such as including a fence line in a landscape photo to give interest and scale. We stopped at a local coffee shop in Glenorchy and refreshed, made our way on, to Paradise and on a gravel road into bushland. The weather was spectacular and we were both very happy with a relaxing way to do the trip as we didn't have a car (and saw one post-accident on the road back - another reason to let someone else do the driving). Highly recommended."
